We are the front line of medicine. We are your advocates and we are often that final safety check to make sure you are getting the right treatment/medication at the right dose. Our focus, our profession, is based on caring for YOU, our patient.

We are more likely to be assaulted or injured on the job than prison guards. As nurses we need to speak up for our profession, for what we risk and what we give to our patients. But it’s hard for us, because we don’t want to burden others, because we are used to caring rather than being cared for.

Very Berry Protein muffins! Low carb and high protein (well, as much as you can and not have a muffin taste like cardboard). Keep them in your freezer, heat in the microwave and voila! A delicious breakfast/snack in just 30 seconds. Recipe HERE

Don’t worry, I didn’t eat all of them. They were for a bake sale. But I have to confess, cake is seriously my favorite thing ever (probably why I need to be on a diet). Recipes are from Vegan Cupcakes Take Over the World. GO VEGAN CUPCAKES!
